Villa Vigla

In a serene location in the island’s north west, Vigla is a private estate, with views over the Meganisi channel to Ithaca, Kefalonia and the distant mountainous mainland. Guests are well looked after by a resident housekeeping couple and have the use of a RIB (with qualified captain) free for one day, or all week for a fee. Perfect to explore the hidden coves and secluded coves of this green jewel of an island.

The stone built villa is finished in an elegant artisanal style with whitewashed walls, hewn stone windowsills, pebble mosaics on bathrooms floors, crafted wooden headboards and an eclectic mix of well chosen furnishings. Bedrooms are spacious, split across two floors in the main house, and the guest house. Wide glass doors open from the living/dining area to the terrace.

On the terrace an outdoor dining table seats eight, and set into the terrace below the house is a large swimming pool with steps. The entrance to the pool area can be locked, so great to keep small children safe. Plenty of comfy sun loungers surround the pool and, to one side, a shaded portico houses another comfortable seating area. Views are wonderful wherever you decide to sit.
