Villa Lago can be reached by car from Lugano International Airport in 60 minutes, or from Milan Malpensa International Airport in 75 minutes. This exclusive property is perched high above Lake Como, occupying a secluded spot on the mountainside. It’s 300 metres from the mountain village of Pigra, which is your base for hiking and mountain biking in the idyllic Italian countryside. From Pigra, you can take the 5-minute cable car down to the picturesque lakeside village of Argegno. Here, you’ll find superb restaurants and the villa’s private boat mooring; the boat (and skipper) can be rented by guests on request.

The residence was originally built by the Peduzzi family in 1909, on the site of a medieval watchtower. Recently restored by celebrated architect Andrea Meirana, the villa retains features of the original Liberty-style architecture while offering contemporary luxury and cutting-edge technology.

The eight double bedrooms, six of which are en-suites are split over three floors, connected by a lift, each bedroom has a balcony with breath-taking views. The villa has two kitchens, elegant spaces for dining and entertaining, as well as a state-of-the-art media room and a wellness centre with fitness and yoga facilities.

Within the 4.5 acres of lush, landscaped gardens there is a 22m heated infinity pool, Jacuzzi and an incredibly stylish pool house. Head up to the rooftop bar for an aperitivo before enjoying al fresco dining under the pergola, taking in those spectacular views.

At Villa Lago, guests will enjoy exceptional service. On arrival, you will be treated to a welcome dinner, and thereafter your chef will prepare a continental breakfast and one other meal each day. There is a discrete housekeeping service 6 days a week, and your Villa Manager is on hand to help with any requests.
