A Villa for Every Occasion: Villas for Group Celebrations

The joy of a villa holiday is bringing loved ones together for extraordinary celebrations and occasions to remember.

Finding the perfect villa that suits a large group is the first step in making sure your celebration sings. We can match you with the ideal property for your party, plan all the big and little details ensuring your occasion rises far beyond expectations. Read our recommendations for big gatherings.

THE MILESTONE CELEBRATION:MOROCCO

Balmy nights, an exotic cuisine, adventure on your doorstep and year-round blue skies mean Morocco makes an ideal fit for a big birthday gathering. Our villas in Morocco have plenty of space, inside and out, and often come with onsite extras like tennis courts, hammams and heated pools.

Morocco also offers a large group plenty of choice and flexibility: thrill-seekers can head to the mountains for biking or hiking while those that prefer a slower pace can potter in the souks or take a ceramics class. As for the showstopping party itself, let us organise an al fresco long-table dinner in your flower-scented garden or for something even more remarkable, take a trip to the desert to party into the night, under a sky full of stars.

WHERE TO STAY

For a big gathering, we love Ezzhoura Estate, which has five separate villas, giving everyone the luxury of space. Sleeping up to 30, the estate also has a padel court, two cinema rooms and a large Berber tent in the grounds – perfect for atmospheric pre-dinner drinks to kick the party off.

THE MULTI-GEN FAMILY SUMMER HOLIDAY: GREECE

You don’t necessarily need a celebration to take the extended family to Greece for a summer holiday, but having the right place to stay increases your chances of keeping the whole clan happy. Longtime fans of the Greek Islands – Villa Collective itself was born from Nick’s love of his childhood Corfiot summers – we can testify that the islands of the Ionian are some of the most suitable for happy family summers.

There’s an easy rhythm to life here – wake up to sea views and breakfast served on the terrace before deciding on the day: settling at a beach club, a jaunt at sea on a boat, hiking coastal paths or exploring the layers of history in Corfu Town. Teens will love the freedom of evenings out in the harbour towns; adults meanwhile will love the tranquillity of an exceptional villa.

WHERE TO STAY

If you’re bringing multiple generations together for a summer in Greece, we’d highly recommend the sprawling, seafront property Gaia Estate that sleeps up to 16. With accommodation spread over two villas there’s room for all ages, plus direct sea access, private jetty, multiple sunbathing decks and a short boat ride to celebrated dining spots mean it’s impossible not to have fun.

THE LONG-LOST GET TOGETHER: ITALY

When you have family and friends that span the globe, it’s more important than ever to find that special spot to reconvene and reconnect. To make it worth the juggled diaries, shifted workloads and family scheduling, pick a place that has absolute wow-factor with the power to please everyone from tiny tots to wise elders.

This place is Italy. It’s a country with thousands of years of history built on the principles of La dolce vita, a mantra that speaks to enjoying all the good things in life. In Italy that means fabulous food and wine, awe-inspiring ancient sites, magnificent art history and a wraparound coastline that reveals idyllic beaches and stylish beach clubs. With a spectacular villa to call home, the pain points of planning melt away in a glorious get-together of indulgence and quality time with those you cherish most.

WHERE TO STAY

From Tuscan hilltop villas to lakeside wonders and centuries-old Puglian farmhouses, there’s an abundance of choice in Italy. Speak to us about what suits you best. We love the grandeur of the pink-hued Villa Cetinale and its Italian landscaped gardens dotted with statues, cypress trees and blousy roses. With a full complement of staff, life at Villa Centinale is La dolce vita, indeed.

THE CHRISTMAS ESCAPE: KENYA

When the UK’s leaden skies become a little too interminable, it’s time to seek the sunshine. There are many places to go for winter sun but one of our favourites has to be Kenya. Its colour, culture, coastal ambience and unique way of life is a salve for the chill of a northern hemisphere winter while its equatorial heat will warm your soul.

For those looking to escape a traditional Christmas, Kenya is a fabulous alternative. The archipelago of Lamu throngs with life from dhow-sailing races, shopping in Shela’s narrow streets and meeting for drinks at Peponi to see where the night takes you. Having a week or more in a sea-facing villa means serene starts to the day, long walks on the beach and drawn-out dinners cooled by the Swahili breeze.

WHERE TO STAY

Whether you’re travelling as a family, a group of friends or as a small party, we have exceptional villas to pick from. For an extended family Christmas, look no further than The Fort, cradled in Shela’s sandy dunes. With stunning Swahili-inspired décor and enclosed by a 50-foot sandstone wall, The Fort has nine bedrooms and is gloriously spacious.

If you have an occasion to celebrate, talk to us about matching you with a perfect villa.
