Agni House

A charming 5-bedroom villa less than a 5-minute walk from postcard-perfect Agni Bay. It’s a nice, secluded property up a road lined with olive trees and surrounded by greenery. There are far-reaching views, a footpath from the garden down the little shingle beach, and three excellent tavernas. Guests can also use the jetty in the bay.

A main house and a second little house look out to the sea beyond. The decor throughout is predominantly soft creams, dove greys and blues, keeping a fresh maritime feel. The main house has a long living and dining room with games, an upright piano and double doors onto the terrace. Upstairs are three of the bedrooms; the master has its own balcony with chairs and a table. A further two large double bedrooms are in the little house, each with doors to a private terrace. 

Twelve people can dine under the shade of an ancient olive tree. The dining table is set on a long terrace stretching the length of the main house, and a second dining area is situated near to the pool, with a gas barbecue close by. There are lots of different places to sit - a horseshoe-shaped lounge area on the upper terrace, comfy chairs outside the living room, sun beds around the pool terrace and a cushioned stone seat under the trees. Flowers, herbs, Mediterranean shrubs, olive and fruit trees provide colour, scent, shade and visual interest. There’s even a little kitchen garden and table tennis set up under the trees. 

Below the villa, picturesque Agni Bay has clear waters for swimming, a shingle beach, three tavernas, a couple of boat hire companies and a cafe.  A little further along the coast, just a short drive, are the picturesque harbour villages of Kalami and Kouloura. Water sports and boat hire are available at Kalami. You could also walk from Agni Bay in less than half an hour.  On the other side of Agni is Nisaki beach. Kassiopi (about 12.5km away) has a good selection of restaurants, shops and some late-night bars and clubs. San Stefano, another village with a picturesque harbour, is a short boat trip or car drive away and a nice place to stay away for a few hours in a waterside taverna.
