It is rare to encounter such a property as the Villa Ezzouhra which can sleep 24 in 3 separate properties in the Palmeraie, an exclusive district of Marrakesh, 15 minutes outside the city centre. A further one bed Pavilion*, attached to the main house, allows a further couple of guests to be accommodated, bringing the total to 26 guests.

From Menara International airport, which is a mere 12 kilometres away, you will be entering a different world on arrival at this luxury estate. 20,000 square kilometres of gardens dotted with olive, date and orange trees will ensure your peace and privacy. The configuration of the individual properties allows 16 guests to stay in the main house, Villa Ezzouhra, together with its *Pavilion. Villa Alkhozama sleeps 4 guests in two double bedrooms and Villa Azzaytuna sleeps 6 in three double bedrooms.

These include a private chef to ensure that your meals are exquisite and whether for you or for your children, specially created menus will cater for you and your guests’ every dietary requirement in either local and authentic Moroccan cuisine or in great European style.

Pampered by two full-time beauty therapists in the spa rooms or the hammam, your rest and relaxation will be enhanced by the knowledge that your guests will be able to take in the sun around the enormous pool, relaxing on the very luxurious sun loungers, or wear off some of their energy around the paddle tennis court or in the gym. When hanging out, children and adults will be contented in equal measure, with no fights over what to watch, as there are two screens on which to view your favourite movies from the well stocked library.

After a day spent in the pursuit of individual interests, the open plan seating and dining areas inside are very sociable spaces designed to bring everyone together to enjoy one another’s company. Your guests will gather for aperitifs in the Berber tent which is pool side or on the magnificent roof terrace to enjoy the cool of the evening breezes. Lit up at night by expertly designed lighting, the mood is changed from the day-time vibe to something more exotic at dusk.

If the delights of the houses and gardens have you wanting more of the traditional Moroccan culture, the villa chauffeur will take you on a 3-4 hour guided tour of the souks and the Medina on a day of your choice - the centre of Marrakesh is only 15 minutes away or you may wish to go further afield to walk in the Atlas Mountains or even to the Ourika valley, to see the traditional and largely unchanged Berber way of life.

Your cultural, culinary and shopping needs can all be satisfied in the buzzing streets of Marrakesh which, with a recent influx of hotels, bars and shops, is newly luxurious. In contrast, the main square in the Medina with its snake charmers and enticing souks provide you with plenty of the authentic Moroccan spice of life.

For a large group of family and friends or a special celebration you would be hard put to find a more convivial, well run and beautifully luxurious grand residence where even 1,001 nights would not exhaust the possibilities of the house or the local area.
